The Hoard masternode program is the mechanism that powers the decentralized exchange protocol, codenamed “Smaug.” Our open-source software enables Hoard community members to create their own decentralized exchanges. This includes both market-making and order-matching masternodes. One world, one wallet is the tagline for the Hoard application. The same rings true for Smaug: One world, One exchange. Smaug is a trustless, anonymous, and censorship-resistant network of interoperable nodes for any chains, assets, and individuals.
As noted yesterday, Hoard has extended the crowdsale through November 9, 2018 and masternode rewards will commence immediately following the distribution of HOARD coins once the sale ends.
As part of Hoard’s commitment to connect all blockchains while making the utilization of both decentralized and centralized exchanges as simple and friendly as possible, we’ve deployed our masternode reward contracts to the Ethereum testnet last week and have launched the testing process.
Interested parties participating in the crowdsale will soon be able to deposit their HOARD coins in this contract to earn HOARD coin rewards as part of our masternode program. Again, this will link Hoard wallet users (beta request available here) to exchange services and liquidity providers in a secure and trustless manner.
For more information about our masternode program and the HOARD coin, visit https://www.hoard.com or join our communities across social media. Our masternode program documentation is also available for download in PDF format.
For those curious, the staking requirement (per node) is 5,000 HOARD coins. We’ll provide more information and announcements about HOARD and the masternode program in the coming weeks as our coin distribution nears, so stay tuned.
